If you are hankering for an Irish Red instead of an American Red, brew this beer with the Irish Ale yeast and drop the bittering and aroma hops by about 20%. Our Red Ale has a deep reddish amber hue, a full bodied, well balanced malt flavor, and an aromatic hop character with a moderate bitterness. This kit is one of our favorites, and is one of the most popular with our customers. Contains organic malt extract, organic specialty malts, organic hops, organic bottling sugar, Irish Moss, recipe, and instructions. Produces an original gravity of approximately 1.050. IBU's: 40. Recommended yeast for this kit (Not included! Order separately): Wyeast #1056 American Ale, or White Labs California Ale.

***NOTE: If you choose the option to purchase the kit without DME or corn sugar for bottling you will need to supply your own bottling sugar (corn sugar, DME, etc.). You may not need bottling sugar if you plan to keg your beer.

A sure fire winner!

This was my first beer that I ever made. I was worried that it wouldn't turn out figuring this was my first brew. Oh wow was I wrong! After only a week of bottle conditioning I wanted a foretaste, and it was GOOD! I mean really good! I had people who didn't like beer say that it was good. This brew is a no doubt winner and I will be purchasing it again!

ORDERS THAT WEIGH OVER 150 lbs

Our shopping cart cannot compute the actual shipping cost for orders that weigh over 150 lbs. If ordering heavy items online, the shopping cart will bill you a $99 temporary rate. This is not a flat rate to ship your order. The actual cost will be calculated by our shipping department and we will contact you to authorize the actual shipping charge. For orders over 200 lbs, the rate will include the hundredweight discount if shipped by UPS ground.

SHIPPING & BACK ORDERS:

We ship most orders within one business day of receiving them (except for orders shipped via the US Post Office, which can take up to 1 extra day for processing). If an order is received by 12 PM on a weekday we will ship it the same day (except for very large orders and USPS orders). We are a small business with a small staff, so there are days when we have lots of orders to ship and we cannot ship all of the orders on that day. When this happens (most often on Mondays), we always ship the orders in the order that we received them. We really appreciate your understanding! We do not back order or substitute items without contacting you first: If we are out of an item we will call or e-mail for instructions, unless the item is a closeout that is no longer available, in which case it will be dropped from the order.

C.O.D. ORDERS:

We do not accept COD orders. Check or money orders can be mailed to the address on the order form

EXPRESS SHIPPING:

If you are in a rush we can ship your order via UPS Next Day, 2nd Day, or 3 Day Air to zones A & B. Zone C Shipments are always shipped USPS Priority Mail, but can be shipped overnight upon request. If you wish NEXT DAY AIR Shipping, you must place your order by telephone. Orders shipped by an expedited method are billed the actual cost of shipping & insurance.
