Organic Pilgrim Pellet Hops
10.2% Ave. Alpha. A new dual-purpose hop released by the Horticulture Research Institute at Wye in 2001, Pilgrim has a pleasant aroma and strong bitterness content. Because of its high alpha it has been compared to British Target more than any other variety, but it has a much hoppier aroma than Target due to its higher levels of Humulene and Challenger-like Selinene levels. Exhibits an earthy, spicy, flavor and pronounced hoppy nose. Also known as Wye Pilgrim. Organically grown in Belgium from English rootstock. Possible substitutions: Target, Northdown & Northern Brewer.
