Certified Organic. Our fair trade organic Nicaraguan Rio Coco coffee is sourced from family-owned farms organized around Cooperativa Multifuncional Arca de Noé R.L, a cooperative operating in the municipality of San Juan de Río Coco within the departments of Madriz, Nicaragua. The cooperative has 83 members (22 women) who, on average, cultivate 7 acres of coffee. The cooperative provides marketing, technical assistance, and small business lending to all of its members.
Strictly high grown, between 1100-1500 meters, from a mixture of Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra and Typica.
This Central American coffee has vibrant acidity, evoking some ripe summer plums or mid-winter clementines, with a medium body and some flora aromatics. Enjoy this bean roasted shortly past first crack to fully embrace this charismatic single origin.
