Our Mexico Chiapas Altura coffee is sourced from the southern state of Chiapas, Mexico, where there are mountain ranges that provide higher altitudes and ideal climates for cultivating coffee. The vast majority of farms are family-owned with less than 10 hectares of land. The coffee harvest typically begins in October and ends in March.
A fair-trade, organic blend of Bourbon, Caturra, Criollo, Mundo Novo and Typica beans grown between 900-1,500 meters, fully washed and dried both in the sun and with mechanical driers. Our Chiapas Altura coffee makes a fantastic morning single origin, or the base for a great house blend. Clean, smooth, and slightly sweet, with mellow acidity rounding out milk chocolate.
