Dominican Republic Barahona (FTO)
Shade grown, certified organic, and Fair Trade.
This is an Island coffee from the southwest area of the Dominican Republic.
A rich and mellow coffee that is clean, sweet, and smooth, but delightfully full of chocolate flavors if you do not roast it too dark.
Some would compare this to a Jamaican Blue Mountain. We do not make such a bold claim, but if you like Caribbean Island coffees or the coffees of Mexico, we think you will like this one.
With a soft acidity, hints of apple and pear, and a light finish of chocolate and vanilla, this just might be your new favorite dessert coffee.
Produced by FEDECARES, or the Federación de Caficultores de la Región Sur, which was founded in 1985 with the aim of improving the quality of life in the community, promoting sustainable development, and eliminating dependence on intermediaries in the conventional market.
We recommend a medium to a full city roast.
