This has been a local favorite here in Santa Cruz for many years. This is a European style dark lager with a mellow hop character, a bittersweet malt flavor, and a smooth lager finish. Based on the German Bock style, but fermented with California lager yeast, so cold fermentation is not required. Contains organic malt extract, organic malted barley, organic hops, organic bottling sugar, Irish Moss, recipe, and instructions. Produces an original gravity of approximately 1.048. IBU's: 28. Recommended yeast for this kit (Not included! Order separately): Wyeast #2112 California Lager, or White Labs San Francisco Lager.
***NOTE: If you choose the option to purchase the kit without DME or corn sugar for bottling you will need to supply your own bottling sugar (corn sugar, DME, etc.). You may not need bottling sugar if you plan to keg your beer.
