8% Ave. Alpha. 2005 crop. A popular dual purpose hop used as a bittering hop that adds a clean, slightly minty flavor, and when used as an aroma hop adds a mild floral hoppy aroma. Comparable to U.S. grown Perle, but has a more subtle and pleasant hop aroma. Typically used in a wide rdange of beer styles, from Pale ale and Porter to Pilsner, Alt, and Hefeweizen. A good substitute for Northern Brewer.
