Shade grown by members of the APECAFE cooperative, a collective that supports efforts to improve roads and schools, promotes education about organic and sustainable coffee farming methods, and helps diversify incomes away from illegal cash crops. Quinchia is in the Midwest region of Colombia, about 65 miles from the state capital of the Department of Risaralda. This is a very smooth coffee with rich cocoa flavors and a medium to mild acidity. This is a full bodied coffee with a slight fruitiness and a delicate cocoa finish which lingers on the tongue. If you were fond of the Colombia Popayan we offered last year, the Quinchia will satisfy your taste buds for a classic Colombian cup of coffee. Excellent for medium to darker roasts.
