certified organic and Fair Trade. We are pleased to offer this wonderful Brazilian coffee from Poco Fundo Cooperative near Rio De Janeiro. This is a rich, vibrant coffee anchored with a deep full bodied earthy flavor and lots of fruity high notes. A bit wild in character, reminiscent of an Ethiopia Harrar or Sidamo. If you like the Ethiopia Coffees, definitely give this one a try! Poco Fundo is a cooperative of small scale farmers (founded in 1991) located in the state of Minas Gerais in southeastern Brazil. By forming a coop the farmers have been able to improve the quality of the coffee through education and training, as well as improving their own quality of life by consolidating resources and improved incomes. The coffee trees are of the Caturra and Mundo novo varieties. All the coffee is hand picked and dry processed. Roast this one to Full City or French to get a rich chocolate character which could be lost with darker roasts.
