Beginner
Class: 12:00 noon to 2 pm: This workshop
is geared towards people who plan to start brewing their own
beer at home and would like to have some hands on training
from experienced home brewers. Basic homebrewing practices
with an eye towards organic, environmentally friendly techniques
will be covered. A real batch of beer will be brewed during
the workshop. Participants are encouraged to sign up in advance
because the group size will be limited to 20 people.
Intermediate
Class: 3:00 pm to 5 pm: This class is perfect for folks who have
already started brewing their own beer
at home but would like to improve their skills and
knowledge and
have some hands on training from experienced home brewers.
Intermediate homebrewing practices with an eye towards
organic, environmentally friendly techniques will
be covered. A real
batch of beer will be brewed during the workshop. Participants
are encouraged to sign up in advance because the group
size will be limited to 20 people.
Organic
Brewing Roundtable Discussion: 2pm to
3 pm: Especially for folks curious about the environmental
impacts of beer
brewing, this Roundtable will cover aspects of both craft
brewing and
homebrewing. Discussion will include tips on how homebrewers
and beer drinkers can make choices that help the environment
and support local and regional breweries and suppliers.
Group size will be limited to 20 people.
Workshops will
be in an outdoor unheated setting. If it rains a canopy
will be in place but it may limit
the number
of people the workshop can accommodate.
