Peru Apesi (Fair Trade)
Certified organic and Fair Trade. The cooperative APESI works with the goal of helping in the development of their communities, promoting ecological agriculture of coffee production, local fruits, gardens, forests, and ornamental, exotic, and medicinal plants, organic compost, natural pesticides, raising domestic animals, bee farming, be a responsible representative of the resources, highlight one’s rights, and conserve the natural environment.
The coffee itself is very similar to Peru Penachi, as it comes from the same northern region. A nice full bodied coffee with smooth chocolatey tones.
