2007 National Organic Homebrew Challenge

The 2007 competition was a truly memorable event and many amazing beers were entered by organic homebrewers from all over the USA. We are very grateful to all the judges and stewards who volunteered to help make the event a success. We also deeply thank the sponsors who donated prizes, The Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant for hosting the judging event, and The Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery for hosting the awards ceremony and Seven Bridges 10 year Anniversary party!

The winners of the 2007 contest are posted here: 2007 Contest Winners

Grand Prizewinner, Western Division:
Congratulations to Larry Lynch-Freshner from Boulder creek, CA for Best of Show AND the Grand Prize winner, western division, for his Organic "Bad Weather Barley Wine".

Larry is brewing his recipe with the Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery, as soon as they can work out the logistics of squeezing a full size oak barrel into the very tiny brewery!

Grand Prizewinner, Eastern Division:
Congratulations also to Richard Lawrence from North Falmouth, MA the Grand Prize winner, eastern division, for his organic "Wu Wei Wit".

Richard got to brew a very special organic beer that was brewed with all American grown ingredients, including hops, at Otter Creek Brewing Company. For more pictures and the full story, be sure to visit the All American2 page: http://www.ottercreekbrewing.com/wolavers/beers/all-american2.html
